This reference source is an aide-memoire for the many computer resets that can be required for the Airbus A320 family of aircraft from a cold start or following electrical transients. It is not intended to replace Airbus documentation, FCOM or MM procedures. All instructions and limitations given in those documents that relate to the resetting of systems both on the ground and in the air must be respected. No reset should be attempted without a thorough appreciation of the technical ramifications. No more than one computer should be reset at any one time. No reset should be attempted in flight unless specifically permitted by the QRH. Maintenance messages remaining after a reset require engineering investigation. The list of ECAM warnings quoted in thisin this reference is limited to those that can be cleared by a simple computer reset.

CB locations are based on the A320, type differences are detailed where noted. Quoted CB locations may be absent or vary between airframes where optional equipment is not embodied. All CB locations quoted are on the flight deck or cabin unless another panel location is given. Panels 105VU & 106 VU are located in the E&E bay for engineering use only.

‘POST’ = Power On Self Test. Many avionics systems will typically carry out a self test procedure on power-up before normal operation becomes available. When resetting equipment do not make switch selections during this period as normal operation following power-up may be affected.

As there are so many possible combinations of Engines, APUs and other avionics systems it is not possible to provide an MSN-specific Alpha Call-Up list. Consequently the Alpha listing is verbose and contains call-ups that may not apply to a particular airframe. Non-applicability will be evident when the call-up is rejected by AIDS.
