AC Essential Bus (ESS BUS)

— RESET PROCEDURE—

Perform operational test of the ESS generation manual switching.

  • Open CB 1XC on panel 715VU.
  • Release AC ESS FEED pushbutton.
  • Close CB 1XC on panel 715VU.
  • Push the AC ESS FEED pushbutton.

Perform operational test of the ESS generation automatic switching.

  • Open CB 41XN and 5XC on panel 721VU
  • Close CB 41XN and 5XC on panel 721VU

MEL STATUS: NO DISPATCH

All instructions and limitations given in those documents that relate to the resetting of systems both on the ground and in the air must be respected. No reset should be attempted without a thorough appreciation of the technical ramifications. No more than one computer should be reset at any one time. No reset should be attempted in flight unless specifically permitted by the QRH. Maintenance messages remaining after a reset require engineering investigation.
